Meditation is nourishment for the Soul

Daily meditation is therapeutic, beneficial and nourishing for one’s Soul and spirit (the physical entity part of the person). My personal experience with meditation helped me to heal from within when I was very unwell over two and a half decades ago. Meditation was instrumental for connecting with my inner self, understanding why I was health-challenged and the growth my Soul wanted me to do to transform the energy from within. Meditation is a beneficial component of wellness and well-being.

Here are some tips for a more pleasant experience of meditation. Frankincense or Sandalwood helps clear negative energy and cleanse the space. Cleanse the area with Frankincense incense sticks, incense cones or essential oil to help remove any negative energies and purify the area you intend to meditate in. Avoid inhaling the smoke (fumes) and being present in the area whilst the Frankincense or Sandalwood incense stick or incense cone releases the smoke (fumes). Ensure window or door ventilation to rid the smoke (fumes).

Avoid stimulants such as alcohol, coffee, and black tea before meditation. Drink spring or filtered water before you meditate. During meditation, place mobile phones and other technology on silent which may interfere with concentration. Raise your vibration by doing whatever you desire to make you feel happy and great. Being in gratitude and expressing gratitude is an effective way to raise your vibration.

Request in your mind to connect with your Higher Self during meditation. Meditate in whatever position feels comfortable for you, sitting or lying down. Take a deep inhalation through your nose to the base of your abdominal area ( visualise in your mind or think of your desired dreams and wishes), hold your breath for three seconds, exhale the breath through your mouth releasing all of the negative energy connected with your desired dreams and wishes), then pause for two to three seconds and repeat the process up to 7 times or repeat the process for as many times you feel comfortable. Then breathe normally. Still your mind and observe the wisdom from your inner self.

Higher Self-connection helps you to align with your true essence and authentic self, understand your Soul’s purpose, assists with clarity and inner peace, warm, gentle, consistent flow of wisdom, and is non-judgemental.

In contrast, during meditation, lower self-connection (ego), can include feeling agitated, cold, prickly, uncomfortable, painful, the inconsistent flow of wisdom, and being critical of you and others.

May you enjoy meditation!
